Sterilization
Patient protection is top priority in our office.
The use of fresh gloves and masks and protective eye wear are some of the most readily noticeable steps
taken to ensure patient safety, but plenty more is going on behind the scenes.
In between treatments, all operatories are thoroughly wiped with a surface disinfectant while our instruments are put through a system of ultrasonic scrubbing (the same that a jeweler might use on precious stones), and then sterilized in a pressurized steam oven know as an autoclave, shown to the right.
In all cases, our safety procedures both meet and exceed guidelines set forth by the Center for Disease Control and the National Institution of health.
